That's not so encouraging when viewed through the lens of a young journalist, but I think the constant pursuit of truth and good storytelling is what makes this field so rewarding.

Hi, I'm Jackie.
Here's what I'm working on:
My undergraduate thesis project is a documentary about the Native Studies program at The University of South Dakota. It's still in progress, but you can see a rough teaser trailer above. Because this is also a personal story, I use my own experience as a launching point for an investigation into the underlying issues that lead so many other students to be disappointed in a program they believed would be vibrant and successful. The project, currently titled NATV 101, is set to be finished by the time I graduate in December 2015.
